What makes a holiday home?

HOLIDAY HOMES:

Living in Sydney and buying a holiday home can be an investment. Not only can it be an investment in lifestyle but if you buy in the right areas it could be an financial investment as well

It depends on where you choose to buy your holiday home and what activities you wish to do when you get there

One comment I will never forget was from a family who relaxed by reading and bird-watching and their comment to me was that this purchase of their new holiday home was going to “add years my husbands life.” Give him a chance to unwind after a busy week. This holiday home was only 50 minutes drive north of Sydney and was still part of the greater Sydney area, yet they felt like a million miles away.

Sydney offers so much as a holiday destination such as beautiful beaches, waterways, bush-land, amazing views and quiet tranquil areas.

Holiday homes range from waterfronts & ocean fronts to remote bush-land homes & city homes. Recently I have sold a recent home in Newtown in the heart of the city where the owners intend to use it as their holiday house.

The Northern Beaches of Sydney offers most of this. One example is a place called
Coasters Retreat. Located on the western foreshore of Pittwater, approximately a 50-minute drive north of the Sydney CBD. Park the car at Palm Beach Wharf and catch a 10-minute water ferry or water taxi and you have arrived at a tranquil escape surrounded by bush-land and water.

Swim, fish, boat, sail, bushwalk, bird- watch or just kick back and relax. As soon as you arrive you are completely captivated by the beauty. “Monty’s” at Coasters Retreat is a holiday home that is nestled amongst the bush with water at the edge its garden.

“Monty’s” timber cottage captures the romance of time well spent in nature. A verbal tour of this property includes open plan living areas which all show off the breathtaking views surrounding the cottage. The lounge room offers a fireplace built for those cozy winter months, the glass house dining room brings the outside in, the modern open-plan kitchen can be used to entertain a number of family and friends perfect for the holiday seasons. The house includes 3 bedrooms with the third bedroom separated by a courtyard offering a pleasant accommodation for guests. There are two outdoor areas that offer alfresco living, a large front patio to enjoy meals and watch the boats sail by & a protected central courtyard that perfectly captures the winter’s sun.

“Monty’s” offers charm, history and time well spent to recharge your energy and give you some “me time” whilst still being apart of the Sydney metropolitan.
