Relocation: 3 Tips in Sydney Apartment Selection

From our experience, as Sydney Relocation Agents, the three most important tips with selecting and finding the right apartment is centered around the building and its presentation.

•    Entrance Foyer: The first thing we look at is the entrance foyer of the apartment building. If this is well presented, clean, no debris, no pushbikes, prams etc, that the doors are in good order and are in good maintenance condition then we give it the first tick of approval.

•    Garbage Bin Area: This is an excellent indicator of a well-maintained building with a caring community and a well-run strata body. If this area is dirty and the bins have not been clean then this sends an alarm bell out to us.  Garbage disposal is a serous health issue and If the garbage bin area is neat and clean then it gets the second tick of approval

•    Garden and common areas: Again we have learnt to look at the building garden areas. The types of questions we ask ourselves are: “Is the garden in good order?”  “Is there a level of landscaping design and structure?”  “ Is there any rubbish or debris lying around?”. We also include looking if the building requires any maintenance or painting. If we find that the building itself and the grounds are in good order then we give it the third tick of approval.

At Kathryn Hall Relocations we have a checklist that assists us to clarify what constitutes a good apartment building. If you are going to be renting and be living in an apartment you want to know what the apartment building community is like and if it is well presented then you are on the way to living in a well run, community conscious apartment complex.
