Communication is the Essence of A Good Real Estate Agent

Selling property should be all about communication and that means really good communication.
There are Real Estate Agents who are good communicators because in the end when selling your property you need to be able to make an informed decision. How can you make a informed decision without having the whole picture and being totally informed.

Here at Kathryn Hall Real Estate I understand that all communication is good. Some of our clients prefer to be notified by email, some like to be notified by text messages and others love the telephone phone calls. Most of the time we do all three notifications. And of course there are owners who prefer communications by letter. Being good at all these processes comes with territory and every agent should be doing this.

Being a Real estate Agent there is rarely a time when you are not working. I understand that selling or buying a home or business, or a investment property is one of the biggest decisions and one of the biggest financial decisions you will make. So if you need to call me I am available. Many a time I have been away on holidays and I need to speak to my clients. On each and every holiday I always set some time aside during the day to spend the time speaking to my clients and following emails. My family is very understanding, after 42 years selling real estate they know that if I have to speak to my clients then I need to speak to my clients. Its great to be supported. Mind you I always make sure as a family we have plenty of fun and adventure holidays to compensate for the work time I may need to d

Mobile phones and text messages make getting in contact easy and I have a saying “ I am only a phone call away” which is actually true. It does not matter where in the world I am, in most places I can get mobile phone coverage. Then of course there is voice mail and yes I check them too.

I actually find voices messages are really helpful and I can often respond quickly while I am showing property or at an appointment.

The only time I find it hard to use the phone is after a visit to dentist … hah hah then I can always text. LOL !

To help my clients make a decision this is the 8 point agreement I have with my clients:

  1. I do the research
  2. I ask the questions
  3. I double check
  4. Always ask why
  5. Communicate the situation in place
  6. Confirm how my clients wish to be communicated and when
  7. A commitment to my clients at the start of the relationship to keep them informed
  8. We work together as a team

Communication is easy if you have a plan and set an agreement in place from the start. It keeps the process clear and defined.
